Dreary Day
“It was a dark and stormy night…” There - I’ve done it. I’ve always wanted to start my novel with that famous first line from Snoopy’s novel. I imagine this photo would be the cover photo for Snoopy’s great American novel.
My husband and I were driving in the late afternoon of a rainy autumn day. We came up with this idea of shooting him walking away from me. I believe the umbrella makes the whole thing work - it adds a sense of mystery to the photo. Who is that guy, and why is he walking alone in the rain? This one, for obvious reasons, is best in black and white.
