Train Station

Here is a photo of an old run down train station not to far from me.  I must of driven by this station a million times always wanting to stop to take a photo.  Finally, I did.  I think it makes a neat photo.  Even though the train still uses these tracks, the train station [...]

Guissippe

You can find this great restaurant in Jamaica at the Sandals Whitehouse Resort.   This photo was taken with my Nikon D70 with an f/6.3 at 25mm focal length on a bright sunny Jamaican day!  What captured my attention was the bright colors in this building especially the orange!

Stoney Bridge

A bridge in Oak Creek Canyon (Arizona) highlights the size of the rock formations in that part of the west.   The various layers in the rock represent different geological periods, and help add visual appeal to the photo.

Love Shack

In our travels to Arizona, we stopped at Slide Rock.  This shack was between the parking lot and the park.  As I walked past it, I thought it was an interesting piece of architecture.  I never realized just how interesting architecture could be in photographs.

The Hiker

Can you see him? He’s all the way in the distance on this wooden bridge. You can find this bridge at Red Rock State Park, Arizona. I love to take photos of everything so going hiking and sightseeing is one of my favorite things to do. Of course, Arizona can [...]

This lens is an all round 11.1x zoom lens, ideal for professionals to use for countless [...]

Unique Barn

Here is a barn I took about 15 miles from my home. I was playing in photoshop and decided to turn this barn into something different….almost looks like a negative, huh?

Mission 2

This is another photo taken while in San Antonio. I used the trees as a frame for the unique building in the background. Once up close, I was able to see more of the buildings detail.  I never realized how interesting taking photos of architecture was until I took a photography class to [...]

The Alamo

This photo was taken in San Antonio, Texas at the Alamo. I used Photoshop to crop the sides of this photo and turned it to black and white to give it a more dramatic look. The Alamo (San Antonio de Valero Mission) is a former mission and fortress compound, now a museum, in [...]

The Convento

The question I ask myself when looking at a scene like this: do I stand back and take a broader look at the landscape or move in close for a shot showing more detail of the architecture. The tower in the left fits into the rule of thirds balancing the remaining building on [...]
